Empowering Youth through Vocational Training

I opened my salon in 2016. PDev II paid for the training and also assisted me with materials for the salon. I also undertook the young leadership program, we learned to interact with others and resolve inter-personal conflicts. When I trained to do hair styling, the boss there didn’t want me to leave after because he was so happy with my work. It’s so important to undertake this young leadership program because you can transfer these skills into the workplace when dealing with others.
— Honorine Badini participated in a PDev II-sponsored three-month workshop in hair styling in Burkina Faso in 2015.

Honorine is one of more than 2,000 youth that received vocational training through PDev II. Trainings ranged from tailoring to auto mechanics and food preparation/catering.
